Self-tanning spray is also the cosmetic product of choice for a nice peachy tan. It works thanks to DHA, a natural active ingredient which reacts with amino acids, amnines and peptides in the stratum corneum of the skin (the outer part of the epidermis). This process, called the “Maillard reaction”, creates orange and brown compounds, which tan the skin only a few hours after applying the product. There is also the Avène Self-Tenning Moisturiser Gel, to be applied daily until your desired tan is achieved, tans the skin gradually without needing to be exposed to the sun. Also formulated with moisturising ingredients and Avène thermal water, it moisturises, soothes and comforts the skin.
