The summer holidays and the return to school are often signs of the return of head lice. Treating your child's hair will require strategy, rigour and effective anti-head lice products.
The head louse (pediculus humanus capitis), if not removed, can cause a lot of inconvenience: itching or even disease (pediculosis of the scalp, phtiriasis...). To eradicate them, it is necessary to arm yourself with an anti-head lice treatment (anti-head lice shampoo, anti-head lice lotion, anti-head lice sprays…) which is effective, whilst respecting your child's hair.
In addition to an anti-head lice shampoo, we recommend that you use lightly vinegared water (1 to 2 spoons of vinegar) to rinse the hair. The vinegar will act directly on the substance which maintains the nits in the hair. Then, use an anti-head lice and nits comnb to get rid of the remaining nits.
You can also anticipate and prevent the arrival of head lice with preventative products.
Finally, to fight effectively against head lice, it is also necessary to treat all textile objects or fabric surfaces that you or your child have come into contact with. Think to treat bedsheets, clothes, cuddly toys, hats...
