Severe itchiness, red patches... A lice infestation, also called "pediculosis of the scalp", is extremely unpleasant. How can you avoid getting nits or head lice? Tie up long hair, wear a swimming cap at the pool, regularly check the hair etc. Using a protective product is also part of the recommended advice.
